Straining bags, Mashing and Sparging bags and Filters are important brewing equipment when making the best possible homebrew beer and wine at home.

When making beer, using a Mashing & Sparging Bag when making a brew in the bag (BIB) beer or when adding hops using a straining bag making it easier to remove the hops at the end of the boil or after dry hopping.

When making wine, straining the juice from the fruit is an essential step which helps the fermentation process and helps remove unwanted fruit pulp from the wine.

When making infusions such as sloe gin, remove the fruit that has been soaking in the spirit is easy when you use a straining bag.

Once your wine, cider or spirit wash has finished fermenting, you can improve the flavour by filtering wine through a filter.  A homebrew wine filter will remove invisible microscopic sediment suspended in your wine, making your homebrew crystal clear and removing sediment that can mute the fruit flavours.

We have a range of filters, straining bags, filter papers and mashing and sparging bags at Brewbitz to help clear whatever you are brewing.  Whether you're using filters to clear your wine or straining your grain or hops from your beer, we have all the essential equipment.
