Buckets & Fermenting Vessels
There are many types of fermentation vessel used in homebrewing. Browse our range of commonly used homebrew fermenters.
Using a brewing bucket as the first fermentation vessel will help prevent overspill as the initial fermentation can be quite vigorous. We have fermentation buckets in various sizes and you should choose a fermentation bucket slightly larger than the volume of liquid you are going to ferment to give adequate space for the head of yeast to form. Our brewing buckets range in size from 5 litres to 33 litres, with lids and options for taps and airlocks.
Fermenting buckets are made from food grade plastic, so are suitable for wine, beer, cider, lager and sugar washes.
When brewing wines, once the initial fermentation has slowed, it is advisable to transfer your brew to a Demi-John or Carboy to allow the fermentation to finish without risk of infection. Browse our range of Demi-Johns & Carboys.

I made my first ever wine, blackberry wine using this bag after following David on his Youtube video, great product, less mess and easy to use. Thank you David for your help and support with my order.
Easy kit to brew. Pleasant, very refreshing apple flavour ideal for lazy summer days in the sun. Very impressed and intend to try others in this range.👍
Have made this Grapefruit IPA as one of my regular brews, always enjoy it's refreshing and citrusy taste for a change. Best to use liquid malt extract in place of sugar for best results. Have 40 pints brewing now !
Young's Cellar 7 Pino Grigio is very simple to make and never goes wrong if you follow the instructions and have the right equipment. It only takes about a week to ferment and, if you let it mature for about a month or so, it tastes better than the average supermarket wine. Brewbitz are a great supplier with a personal touch and fast delivery
I have using this product for many years and never had a failure
Arrived quickly and as described
I used this product to clear three brews: 1 gallon of Cyser, 1 gallon of elderberry melomel and 1 gallon of metheglin. All 3 were crystal clear within 24 hours. I will certainly use it again.
Wonderful wine..used to pick my own fruit in the hedgerows for years…..no more have tried most of the different wines and they are all fantastic!

I buy this wine regularly and get a very reliable service from the team at Brewbitz
I'd decided to make a port-style wine, so I was looking for a yeast with good tolerances for both sugar and alcohol (since I would be feeding the fermenting must with sugar to reach as near to 20% alcohol as I could) - and this one fits the bill.
This strain also offers the possibility of producing a higher level of glycerol, which won't go amiss.
After a month and three additions of sugar it's still bubbling away.
This is the first time I've used oak chips, but these came at a good price and were delivered swiftly
Lovely wine and excellent service from BB
This makes a nice wine that is pretty drinkable after a couple of weeks. I've bottled a few to see how it goes after a few months. I've made a few of the SG kits now, and they always turn out well, and are very easy to make up.
The John Bull IPA kits are straightforward to turn into easy drinking beer. Simple to make following the instructions, takes about a week to be ready to bottle depending on the temperature. Fast clearing and tastes even better if left to mature in the bottles for a couple of weeks. What’s not to like!
